Silvia Piña
Silvia Piña is a co-founding member of Datametrix, where she coordinates a team of programmers, computologists, mathematicians and biologists who apply the scientific rigor of academia to the study of data on a large scale. Piña holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the School of Science at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and a doctorate degree in mathematics from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
Piña has been a faculty member and researcher at the Universidad de Guadalajara, the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico,and at the University of Manchester.
Her interests include biomedical engineering, computational mathematics, biophysics, music and mathematics.
