Shot in Monterrey, Mexico and Queens, New York, I AM NO LONGER HERE traces the story of Ulises Sampiero, the 17-year-old leader of the urban tribe “Los Terkos,” who spend their days dancing Kolombianas and trying to figure out how not to fit in. A bunch of very young and original kids, Los Terkos co-exist with local street gangs in the fringes of Monterrey’s society, at a time when drug war violence spun out of control in the city. When a misunderstanding with an upcoming gang forces Ulises to run away and save his life, he becomes trapped in an underground existence in New York City, while things back home descend into chaos.

Winner of both the Jury and Audience Awards for Best Feature Film at the 2019 Morelia International Film Festival, I AM NO LONGER HERE became one of the top watched films in Netflix during June of 2020.
